Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the 2026 Technology Horizon Scan, identifying breakthrough opportunities across 15+ emerging sectors
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' to prototype and validate next-generation concepts with industry partners
- Author quarterly strategic briefings for the executive board on disruptive market forces and regulatory shifts
- Design and implement the Innovation Pipeline Framework to prioritize R&D investments with 3-5 year ROI modeling
- Establish global thought leadership through white papers, keynote presentations, and patent filings
- Mentor the NextGen Innovation team in futures-thinking methodologies and trend analysis
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or Quantitative Strategy (PhD/MSc preferred)
- 7+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging technology commercialization
- Proven track record of developing actionable roadmaps for post-2025 technological convergence
- Mastery of horizon scanning tools (e.g., Delphi method, scenario planning, AI trend analysis)
- Experience securing $5M+ innovation budgets and managing cross-continental R&D partnerships
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed futures journals or top-tier industry publications
- Expertise in at least two emerging domains: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or climate-tech
