Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the 2026 innovation strategy roadmap aligning with long-term business objectives
- Lead research and development initiatives for next-gen AI, quantum computing, and IoT solutions
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies with potential to disrupt markets by 2026
- Manage a $5M+ innovation budget and oversee vendor/partner relationships
- Present strategic insights to C-suite executives and board members
- Mentor cross-functional teams in agile innovation methodologies
- Drive patent development and intellectual property strategy
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech innovation strategy or product development leadership
- Proven track record of launching market-defining products (3+ examples)
- Expertise in emerging technologies: AI/ML, blockchain, AR/VR, or quantum computing
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business; PhD preferred
- Certification in innovation management (e.g., PDMA, IXL) or equivalent
- Experience managing R&D budgets >$3M
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making capabilities
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management
