Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning initiatives to identify disruptive technologies and market paradigms through 2026
- Develop and maintain a strategic innovation roadmap with quantifiable milestones
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to align stakeholders on future-focused priorities
- Conduct competitive intelligence analysis to anticipate industry shifts
- Present strategic recommendations to the board and executive leadership
- Manage a $5M innovation fund for pilot projects and emerging ventures
- Build and lead a specialized foresight team of 5-7 analysts
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic planning, innovation management, or futures research
- Proven track record of implementing successful long-term strategies
- Expertise in emerging technologies (AI/ML, quantum computing, biotech)
- Advanced degree in Business, Technology, or Futures Studies
- Certified Futurist (CF) or equivalent professional designation
- Experience with scenario planning and trend analysis methodologies
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
- Portfolio demonstrating successful innovation initiatives
