Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the 2026 innovation roadmap, identifying emerging technologies and market disruptions
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing breakthrough solutions with $5M+ annual R&D budget
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis to position company as industry disruptor
- Develop patent-pending frameworks for future-focused product development
- Present strategic vision to C-suite and board with data-driven recommendations
- Mentor innovation fellows and establish partnerships with global research institutions
- Measure KPIs for innovation ROI and iterate on future-state scenarios
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation or futures planning with Fortune 500 experience
- Advanced degree in Strategy, Technology, or Business Innovation (PhD/MBA preferred)
- Proven track record of launching market-disruptive products or services
- Expertise in emerging tech: AI, quantum computing, biotech, or Web3
- Exceptional systems thinking with ability to model complex scenarios
- Certified in Futures Methodologies (e.g., Horizon Scanning, Delphi Studies)
- Published thought leader in innovation journals or industry publications
- Experience scaling innovation from concept to commercialization
