Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies with transformative potential by 2026
- Architect strategic roadmaps integrating AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Partner with product teams to develop 5-year innovation pipelines with measurable impact metrics
- Present future scenarios to C-suite executives and external stakeholders through compelling narratives
- Establish cross-industry partnerships to accelerate adoption of next-gen solutions
- Author thought leadership publications on technological evolution and societal implications
- Mentor junior researchers in futurist methodologies and ethical technology assessment
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Deep expertise in exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology) and their intersections
- Proven track record of translating future scenarios into actionable business strategies
- Advanced degree in technology, engineering, futures studies, or related field
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Experience with scenario planning, technology roadmapping, and impact assessment frameworks
- Demonstrated understanding of ethical implications and governance challenges in emerging tech
- Portfolio of published futurist work or successful technology commercialization projects
