Responsibilities
- Forecast and evaluate emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, bio-integrated systems) for 2026 market viability
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive technology roadmap aligned with 5-year business objectives
- Lead scenario planning sessions to identify disruptive threats and opportunities
- Partner with product teams to integrate future-tech innovations into development pipelines
- Present strategic insights to stakeholders through executive briefings and white papers
- Manage relationships with academic institutions and research consortia
- Monitor global tech policy and regulatory developments affecting future deployments
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record in anticipating tech trends (demonstrated via published research or patents)
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: AI, quantum computing, or biotechnology
- Experience developing multi-year technology roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex technical data
- Exceptional communication skills for translating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Portfolio demonstrating thought leadership (TED talks, industry keynotes, or published books)
