Responsibilities
- Design and implement ethical AI governance frameworks for autonomous systems deployed in 2026+ environments
- Lead cross-functional workshops with engineers, policymakers, and ethicists to identify emerging ethical dilemmas
- Develop predictive models for societal impact of advanced AI applications across healthcare, transportation, and defense sectors
- Author position papers and contribute to international AI ethics standards bodies (e.g., IEEE, OECD)
- Create scenario-planning protocols for technological singularity contingencies and alignment challenges
- Mentor junior researchers in transdisciplinary ethics methodologies and future studies
- Partner with quantum computing teams to assess ethical implications of post-classical computation
Qualifications
- PhD in Philosophy, Ethics, Computer Science, Cognitive Science, or related field with 5+ years applied ethics experience
- Published work in top-tier journals (Nature Ethics, AI & Society, etc.) on AI alignment or technological forecasting
- Expertise in futures research methodologies (Delphi, horizon scanning, scenario planning)
- Deep understanding of quantum computing, neuromorphic engineering, and generative adversarial networks
- Experience advising Fortune 500 companies or governments on AI governance frameworks
- Proficiency in ethical impact assessment tools (e.g., Algorithmic Impact Assessments, Ethical Matrix)
- Strong background in cross-cultural ethical frameworks and global policy development
