Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive AI ethics governance frameworks for autonomous systems
- Conduct bias audits and fairness assessments across machine learning pipelines
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed ethical-by-design principles in product development
- Lead stakeholder engagement with regulators, policymakers, and industry consortiums
- Establish transparent AI documentation standards including model cards and datasheets
- Research emerging regulatory landscapes (EU AI Act, US AI Bill of Rights) and adapt compliance strategies
- Mentor junior data scientists on responsible AI practices and ethical decision-making
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Philosophy, Law, or related field with 5+ years AI governance experience
- Proven track record in developing organizational AI ethics policies and compliance frameworks
- Expertise in fairness metrics, bias mitigation techniques, and explainable AI (XAI) methodologies
- Familiarity with global AI regulations (GDPR, EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF)
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience engaging diverse communities
- Publication record in top-tier AI ethics journals or conference proceedings
- Technical proficiency in Python and ML frameworks for bias analysis
- Certification in AI ethics (e.g., IEEE Ethically Aligned Design, Google Responsible AI)
