Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ethical frameworks for AI model validation and deployment
- Conduct interdisciplinary research on algorithmic bias and fairness in AI systems
- Partner with engineering teams to embed ethical safeguards into AI development pipelines
- Author whitepapers and industry standards for responsible AI adoption
- Lead stakeholder workshops on AI ethics compliance and risk assessment
- Monitor emerging regulatory trends (e.g., EU AI Act, US AI Bill of Rights)
- Mentor junior researchers in ethics-first AI methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Ethics, Philosophy, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in AI ethics, responsible AI, or algorithmic governance
- Published research in top-tier AI ethics or ML conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, etc.)
- Expertise in bias detection techniques and fairness metrics (AIF360, Fairlearn)
- Deep understanding of global AI regulatory landscapes
- Experience with cross-functional ethical risk assessment processes
- Strong background in machine learning fundamentals (Python, PyTorch)
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
