Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ethical governance frameworks for AI systems deployed in autonomous vehicles and healthcare diagnostics
- Conduct bias audits and impact assessments for machine learning models using advanced validation techniques
- Lead stakeholder workshops with engineers, policymakers, and civil society groups to define ethical boundaries
- Create audit trails for algorithmic decision-making processes to ensure transparency and accountability
- Advise on regulatory compliance for emerging AI standards including the EU AI Act and proposed US frameworks
- Produce thought leadership content positioning Nexus Future Labs as an ethics pioneer in the tech ecosystem
Qualifications
- PhD in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years applied AI ethics experience
- Proven track record developing ethical guidelines for autonomous systems or medical AI applications
- Expertise in bias mitigation techniques for large-scale machine learning models
- Deep understanding of global AI regulatory landscapes and emerging compliance requirements
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex ethical concepts for technical and non-technical audiences
- Published research in top-tier journals/conferences on AI ethics or responsible innovation
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams including engineers, legal counsel, and social scientists
