Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology strategy roadmap aligning with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams in identifying and evaluating emerging technologies with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research to position company at innovation frontier
- Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board of directors
- Manage R&D budget allocation for future technology incubation projects
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and tech pioneers to accelerate innovation
- Monitor regulatory landscapes and ethical implications of emerging technologies
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years in strategic technology planning or innovation management
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two of: AI/ML, quantum computing, biotech, or sustainable tech
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex technical and market data
- Experience presenting to C-suite executives and investors
- Advanced degree in relevant field (MBA, MS Engineering, or PhD preferred)
- Strong network within Silicon Valley tech ecosystem
- Strategic certification (e.g., CSCP, CTO) highly desirable
