Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology innovation strategy across quantum, AI, and biotech verticals
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, researchers, and product designers to prototype next-gen solutions
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with 5-10 year commercialization potential
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions and industry leaders
- Present tech roadmaps to C-suite and investors, securing $5M+ annual R&D budget
- Mentor a 12-person innovation lab through quarterly sprints and tech incubation cycles
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy or R&D leadership, with 5+ years in emerging technologies
- Proven track record commercializing future tech (quantum/AI/biotech) at scale
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Expertise in technology forecasting and market analysis frameworks
- Experience managing R&D budgets exceeding $3M annually
- Deep network within Silicon Valley innovation ecosystems
- Portfolio of launched products/technologies with $10M+ revenue impact
