Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies with 3-5 year market impact potential
- Develop strategic roadmaps for integrating breakthrough innovations into product ecosystems
- Partner with venture capital teams to evaluate and invest in pre-seed deep-tech startups
- Design ethical frameworks for deploying transformative technologies responsibly
- Present future-vision briefings to C-suite executives and board members
- Build cross-functional innovation task forces with R&D, product, and marketing teams
- Author quarterly technology trend reports with actionable insights
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or venture capital
- Proven track record identifying and commercializing emerging technologies
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI ethics, or decentralized systems
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Published thought leadership in technology futurism (e.g., Nature Futures, IEEE Spectrum)
- Experience building innovation pipelines in Fortune 500 or high-growth startups
- Strong network connections with academic research institutions and national labs
