Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with market evolution and societal shifts
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions (quantum algorithms, neural interfaces, carbon-negative systems)
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and global innovation labs
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 2026-2030 commercialization potential
- Translate complex technical concepts into compelling narratives for C-suite and investment stakeholders
- Champion ethical frameworks for emerging technologies, ensuring responsible innovation
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum computing, AGI, bioengineering)
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products with $100M+ market impact
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Physics, or Futures Studies preferred
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants (DARPA, NSF, CHIPS Act)
- Exceptional systems thinking and scenario planning capabilities
