Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with 2026 market predictions and emerging scientific breakthroughs
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen systems (AI agents, quantum-resistant cryptography, carbon-negative data centers)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies and assess commercial viability
- Develop ethical governance frameworks for autonomous systems and AI deployment
- Present strategic insights to C-suite and board members using data-driven storytelling
- Partner with product teams to integrate future-ready technologies into consumer platforms
- Secure $10M+ in R&D funding through compelling grant proposals and investor pitches
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with proven impact on product roadmaps
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging domains: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or neuromorphic engineering
- Published thought leadership on future tech trends (white papers, patents, or conference keynotes)
- Experience securing government grants and venture capital for experimental projects
- MSc/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics from Tier-1 institution
- Proficiency in futures forecasting methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning)
- Portfolio demonstrating delivery of at least two market-disruptive technologies
