Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market disruption forecasts
- Lead cross-disciplinary R&D initiatives in quantum computing, synthetic biology, and AGI
- Partner with C-suite to integrate future-tech into core business strategy
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies with exponential potential
- Drive innovation sprints with academic and industrial partners
- Present strategic frameworks to investors and board members
- Manage $2M+ annual innovation budget with ROI-focused allocation
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic tech leadership with Fortune 500 or scale-up experience
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Deep expertise in at least two future-tech domains (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Published thought leadership in top-tier tech publications
- Exceptional communication skills for complex technical storytelling
- Certified Futurist (CF) or equivalent foresight methodology training
- Fluency in scenario planning and technology adoption curve modeling
