Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon scanning and technology forecasting to identify breakthrough innovations with 2026 market potential
- Develop strategic frameworks for technology adoption and integration across business units
- Analyze competitive landscapes and emerging startups to identify acquisition/partnership opportunities
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align technology initiatives with business objectives
- Present executive-level reports on technology trends and strategic recommendations
- Build and maintain relationships with research institutions, venture capital firms, and industry consortia
- Manage pilot projects for emerging technologies and measure ROI against strategic goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 7 years in technology strategy, innovation management, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (AI, quantum, biotech, etc.)
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex technical information
- Experience developing technology roadmaps and business cases for C-suite audiences
- Strong network within tech innovation ecosystems (startups, academia, VCs)
- Published thought leadership or patents in emerging technologies preferred
