This hybrid role offers 3 days/week in our state-of-the-art San Francisco hub with flexibility for global travel and research.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of comprehensive 2026 technology strategy spanning AI, quantum computing, and sustainable infrastructure
- Establish strategic partnerships with emerging tech startups and research institutions
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Present technology roadmaps to executive stakeholders and investor boards
- Drive innovation workshops with cross-functional teams to align technical and business objectives
- Author thought leadership publications and industry trend reports
- Manage $5M+ R&D budget for emerging technology incubation projects
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with 7+ years in executive leadership roles
- Proven track record developing technology roadmaps for 2025+ initiatives
- Deep expertise in AI/ML, quantum computing, or sustainable tech ecosystems
- C-level experience in Fortune 500 or high-growth tech companies
- Published thought leadership in technology journals (Harvard Business Review, MIT Tech Review)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or MBA from top-tier institution
- Strong network within Silicon Valley innovation ecosystem and global tech hubs
- Experience managing multi-million dollar R&D budgets and cross-continental teams
