Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum computing, neural interfaces, climate tech) to develop 5-year strategic forecasts
- Lead cross-functional workshops with R&D, product, and executive teams to align innovation roadmaps
- Produce whitepapers and thought leadership pieces published in Nature, MIT Tech Review, and Davos forums
- Partner with venture capital arms to identify and scout breakthrough startups for acquisition
- Design scenario-planning models for geopolitical disruptions and market volatility
- Mentor junior futurists in foresight methodologies and critical thinking frameworks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Systems Theory, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Published research on technological singularity or ethical AI governance
- Proficiency in horizon scanning tools, Delphi methods, and SWOT-PESTLE analysis
- Portfolio demonstrating successful prediction of market disruptions (2018-2023)
- Experience working with governments on tech policy (e.g., EU AI Act, US CHIPS Act)
- Fluency in at least two languages beyond English
