Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify emerging technologies, societal shifts, and market opportunities critical to 2026
- Develop strategic foresight frameworks including scenario planning, roadmapping, and risk mitigation strategies
- Translate future insights into actionable business recommendations for executive leadership and cross-functional teams
- Drive innovation initiatives through design thinking workshops, prototyping sprints, and stakeholder alignment
- Monitor and evaluate global macro-trends (AI, biotech, climate resilience, quantum computing) and their business implications
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with academic institutions, research labs, and innovation hubs
- Present future scenarios to stakeholders through compelling data visualizations and executive briefings
- Mentor a team of futurists and innovation specialists to cultivate organizational foresight capabilities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Strategic Foresight, Innovation Management, Business, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 8 years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist roles at Fortune 500 companies
- Proven expertise in horizon scanning methodologies, scenario planning, and trend analysis frameworks
- Deep knowledge of emerging technologies (GenAI, quantum computing, synthetic biology) and societal implications
- Exceptional storytelling skills with ability to communicate complex future scenarios to diverse audiences
- Experience leading cross-functional innovation initiatives from concept to market implementation
- Published thought leadership in futures studies, innovation journals, or industry whitepapers
- Proficiency in foresight tools (e.g., Delphi method, STEEP analysis, causal layered analysis)
