Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning initiatives to identify disruptive technologies and societal shifts impacting 2026+ markets
- Develop and publish forward-looking strategic frameworks guiding R&D priorities and investment decisions
- Partner with product teams to embed future-proofing principles into design sprints and roadmaps
- Facilitate cross-functional innovation labs with Fortune 500 partners to co-create next-generation solutions
- Present trend forecasts and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and investor forums
- Establish KPIs for measuring future-readiness across organizational capabilities
- Author thought leadership content positioning Horizon as the preeminent voice on emerging paradigms
Qualifications
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future-focused product development
- Proven track record of translating trend analysis into commercialized innovations
- Deep expertise in exponential technologies (AI, quantum, biotech) and their societal implications
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive-level presentation experience
- MSc/PhD in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field preferred
- Certification in strategic foresight methodologies (e.g., CFCS) strongly preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ future-strategy implementations generating $100M+ impact
- Experience advising C-suite on long-term disruption scenarios and contingency planning
