Responsibilities
- Analyze technological, economic, and socio-cultural megatrends to forecast industry evolution through 2030
- Develop comprehensive scenario-planning models for Horizon's 2026 product ecosystem
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight insights into R&D priorities
- Author annual 'Future State' reports for executive board and investor communications
- Establish Horizon's thought leadership through keynote presentations and white papers
- Partner with venture capital team to identify emerging startups and acquisition targets
- Maintain proprietary trend intelligence database with predictive analytics integration
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or related field
- 8+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist analysis
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercial success metrics
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend mapping, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive-level presentation experience
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation domains
- Certification in Strategic Foresight or Futures methodologies preferred
