Job Description
We are building the operating system for the future. Nexus Horizon is seeking a visionary Lead Architect to spearhead the development of The 2026 Protocol, our next-generation neural interface framework designed to redefine human-machine symbiosis. You will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and high-performance systems that bridge the gap between current AI capabilities and the predictive models required for the year 2026.
In this high-stakes role, you will lead a team of elite engineers in architecting distributed systems capable of processing exabyte-scale data streams in real-time. If you are passionate about pushing the boundaries of what is possible in software engineering and want to leave a lasting legacy in the tech industry, this is your opportunity.
Why join Nexus Horizon?
We offer top-tier compensation, comprehensive health benefits, and the chance to work on projects that will shape the trajectory of humanity's digital evolution.
Responsibilities
- Core Architecture: Design and oversee the end-to-end architecture for The 2026 Protocol, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability across global nodes.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor senior engineers and define coding standards, best practices, and architectural patterns for the engineering team.
- System Optimization: Lead initiatives to optimize latency and throughput for high-frequency trading algorithms and predictive AI models.
- Security & Compliance: Implement robust security protocols and ensure full compliance with emerging global data privacy standards.
- R&D Integration: Collaborate with R&D to prototype bleeding-edge technologies, including quantum-resistant cryptography and neuromorphic computing.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to translate complex technical requirements into actionable development roadmaps.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree or PhD is highly preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in software architecture, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Technical Stack: Proficiency in C++, Rust, and modern Python frameworks; deep understanding of distributed systems (Kubernetes, Docker, gRPC).
- AI/ML Knowledge: Strong background in Machine Learning infrastructure and experience deploying large-scale LLMs.
- Problem Solving: Proven track record of solving complex engineering challenges in high-pressure environments.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
