Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum machine learning algorithms for high-dimensional data processing
- Design and implement quantum neural networks using Qiskit and Cirq frameworks
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-AI hybrid systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and industry conferences
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Secure and manage research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Q#, or PennyLane)
- Proven track record publishing in quantum machine learning research
- Expertise in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and high-performance computing
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and algorithm design
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
