Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum machine learning algorithms leveraging Qiskit, Cirq, and PennyLane frameworks
- Lead research projects on quantum neural networks and hybrid quantum-classical computing models
- Develop novel approaches to quantum error correction for scalable AI systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum AI applications on emerging hardware platforms
- Author peer-reviewed publications for Nature Quantum, Science, and top-tier AI conferences
- Secure funding through NSF, DARPA, and corporate research partnerships
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates in quantum AI methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Machine Learning, or Computational Physics (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development with quantum hardware
- Expertise in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in quantum machine learning or related fields
- Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, probability, and quantum information theory
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex theoretical concepts into practical implementations
