Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum machine learning algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-AI hybrid systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals/conferences
- Optimize quantum circuits for error correction and scalability
- Develop patentable solutions for quantum supremacy challenges
- Mentor junior researchers and quantum engineering interns
- Secure $500K+ in annual research grants from federal/private entities
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum machine learning or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and high-performance computing
- Strong understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF, DOE, DARPA)
- Proficiency in cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Track record of translating theoretical research into practical applications
