Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum computing architectures for enterprise applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum algorithms for real-world problem-solving
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Develop security protocols for quantum-resistant encryption systems
- Create technical roadmaps for quantum integration with classical computing infrastructure
- Pioneer research in quantum error correction and fault tolerance methodologies
- Mentor junior quantum scientists and contribute to open-source quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with 8+ years experience considered)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit design
- Proven experience developing quantum algorithms for optimization or machine learning
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and quantum information theory
- Strong background in high-performance computing and distributed systems
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Published research in quantum computing or related fields preferred
- Certification in quantum computing architecture from recognized institutions
