Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures for 1000+ qubit systems
- Develop quantum algorithms with exponential speedup for optimization problems
- Create error correction protocols achieving >99.9% qubit fidelity
- Lead integration of quantum-classical hybrid computing workflows
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design qubit control systems
- Research and mitigate decoherence mechanisms in novel qubit platforms
- Present architecture blueprints to C-suite and government funding bodies
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Quantum Information Science, or Computational Physics
- 5+ years experience in quantum computing architecture or quantum algorithms
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum error correction
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and compilation
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep understanding of superconducting qubit systems or photonic quantum computing
- Track record of securing DoE/NSF quantum computing grants
- Experience leading quantum hardware-software co-design projects
