Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization and molecular simulation
- Lead error-correction protocols for scalable quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Secure $5M+ in federal research grants through compelling proposals
- Mentor PhD researchers and publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually
- Develop IP strategy for quantum-resistant encryption methods
- Partner with MIT/Stanford on quantum supremacy benchmarks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics/Computer Science with 5+ years industry R&D
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature/Science/Physical Review X)
- Expertise in Qiskit/Cirq frameworks and quantum circuit optimization
- Track record of securing DoE/NSF grants ($1M+ total)
- Proficiency in tensor networks and quantum error correction codes
- Experience leading teams of 10+ quantum researchers
- Familiarity with cryogenic engineering and quantum hardware integration
