Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography, simulation, and optimization applications
- Design and execute fault-tolerant quantum computing experiments in cryogenic environments
- Mentor PhD-level researchers and coordinate international research partnerships
- Translate theoretical quantum models into practical industry solutions
- Secure federal and private research grants exceeding $5M annually
- Pioneer error-correction techniques for scalable quantum processors
- Author high-impact publications in Nature/Science journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (minimum 3 citations)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and gate-based quantum programming
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum development frameworks
- Proven track record of securing competitive research grants
- Experience leading cross-disciplinary teams of 10+ researchers
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error correction methodologies
- US citizenship or active security clearance preferred
