Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography, optimization, and simulation applications
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Mentor cross-functional teams in quantum machine learning and hybrid classical-quantum workflows
- Secure $10M+ in research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Author peer-reviewed publications in Nature Quantum Information and IEEE journals
- Drive patent strategy for quantum communication protocols
- Establish industry partnerships with quantum hardware manufacturers
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum research with published work in top-tier journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and decoherence mitigation
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
