Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms targeting 2026-era computational challenges
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing error-corrected quantum systems
- Establish strategic research roadmaps aligned with quantum advantage milestones
- Secure federal and private research funding through compelling proposals
- Develop quantum-resistant security protocols for next-generation infrastructure
- Mentor PhD-level researchers in quantum information theory
- Collaborate with industry partners to commercialize quantum innovations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature Quantum, PRL)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proven track record securing $1M+ in quantum research grants
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Quipper)
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks and NISQ limitations
- Experience leading technical teams of 10+ researchers
- Patents in quantum algorithms or hardware design preferred
