Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional quantum computing research initiatives targeting 2026 commercialization milestones
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and simulation
- Secure $5M+ in annual research grants from DARPA, NSF, and industry consortiums
- Mentor 8+ PhD researchers and publish 5+ high-impact papers annually
- Develop quantum-safe security frameworks for critical infrastructure
- Collaborate with Intel, IBM, and NASA on quantum-hybrid computing architectures
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 7+ years research experience
- Proven track record publishing in Nature/Science with 50+ citations per paper
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Experience securing federal research grants (DARPA/NSF preferred)
- Deep knowledge of quantum machine learning applications
- Strong proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum frameworks
- Leadership experience managing R&D teams of 10+ researchers
