Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $2M+ in DoE/NIST research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Prototype quantum machine learning frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (2019+ graduates)
- 5+ years experience with quantum circuit design (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier quantum journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and decoherence modeling
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing
- Strong track record of securing federal research funding
- Experience with superconducting qubit platforms
