Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Lead experimental validation of quantum systems on cryogenic hardware
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
- Publish research in Nature/Science and present at IEEE/APS conferences
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA/NSF grants for quantum research initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Published work in quantum information science (arXiv/peer-reviewed)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion qubit systems
