Responsibilities
- Design and develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and simulation
- Lead experimental research on quantum hardware systems including superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into commercial applications
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum computing education initiatives
- Stay current with emerging quantum technologies and industry standards
- Develop quantum software prototypes and performance benchmarks
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with published papers
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, D-Wave)
