Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware systems in cryogenic environments
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Secure $2M+ in NSF/DARPA quantum computing grants
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with industry partners to prototype quantum solutions for real-world problems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum machine learning frameworks
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (arXiv:quant-ph)
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and computational complexity
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
