Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols for post-quantum security infrastructure
- Collaborate with hardware teams to calibrate and validate quantum processor performance
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives on quantum error correction techniques
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week and ACM conferences
- Secure and manage multi-million dollar research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in quantum circuit design and simulation using Qiskit or Cirq
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum programming languages
- Experience with superconducting quantum processors or ion trap systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Demonstrated ability to secure government research funding
- Clearance for DoD quantum security projects preferred
