Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols using IBM and Rigetti systems
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD candidates and collaborate with MIT/Stanford research consortia
- Translate theoretical models into commercial IP with 10+ annual patent applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerance architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with superconducting qubit manipulation or photonic quantum systems
- Proven ability to secure NSF/NIH grants for quantum research initiatives
