Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research teams in developing error-correction techniques for scalable quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design quantum processors with 1000+ qubits
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for enterprise applications
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA/NASA grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and establish industry-academic partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier journals on quantum error correction or algorithms
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Proven track record of translating theoretical quantum concepts into practical applications
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum control electronics
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
