Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols on our 1000-qubit processor
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum computing systems
- Collaborate with AI teams to create hybrid quantum-classical neural networks
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and contribute to IEEE standards
- Secure $1M+ in DARPA/NASA grants for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in our quantum computing fellowship program
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (post-doc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubit architectures
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals/conferences
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and decoherence mitigation
- Proven ability to secure federal research grants
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Experience with cryogenic systems and microwave engineering
