Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop novel quantum error-correction techniques to enhance qubit stability
- Collaborate with AI teams to create hybrid quantum-classical machine learning models
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives in quantum cryptography and secure communications
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international quantum computing conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development
- Stay current with emerging quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, trapped ions, photonics)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and quantum information theory
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in quantum computing or theoretical physics
- Expertise in Python/C++ and high-performance computing environments
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to tackle complex theoretical challenges
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
