Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Develop error-correction protocols for 100+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams on qubit stability improvements
- Lead open-source quantum computing frameworks
- Publish research in Nature Physics/Science journals
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers on quantum machine learning
- Secure $1M+ in NSF/DARPA grants for 2026 initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with Qiskit/Cirq frameworks
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Proficiency in tensor network simulations (e.g., TeNPy)
- Experience with cryogenic control systems
- Strong background in algebraic topology for topological qubits
- Security clearance preferred for DoD collaborations
