Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy benchmarks
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Collaborate with hardware engineers on quantum processor architectures
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding through grant applications
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publication record in quantum algorithm development or quantum error correction
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and simulation tools
- Deep understanding of quantum information theory principles
- Proven track record of securing competitive research grants
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
