Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware interfaces
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Partner with NASA and DARPA on national security quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in our Quantum Academy program
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological computing
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and assembly-level hardware optimization
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Experience with superconducting qubit architectures
- Clearance for DOE/NIST collaborative projects preferred
