Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for error correction and optimization
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to prototype quantum processors at sub-4K temperatures
- Lead cross-functional R&D projects targeting 100+ qubit stability
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals
- Secure federal grants (DARPA, NSF) for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing experience (IBM Q, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and Qiskit/Cirq frameworks
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Strong background in linear algebra, topology, and information theory
- Clearance for DOE/NIST collaborative projects
