Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead experiments on superconducting qubit systems and photonic quantum processors
- Collaborate with machine learning teams to develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier scientific journals
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants through NSF and DoD partnerships
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Translate theoretical models into scalable quantum hardware architectures
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Quil)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level hardware interfacing
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence principles
- Track record of securing federal research grants
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and microwave control electronics
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
