Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for machine learning and cryptography applications
- Design and implement error correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum computing prototypes using superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with engineering teams to translate research into production-ready systems
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and secure government/industry grants
- Contribute to patent development for proprietary quantum technologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and quantum mechanics
- Proven track record of publishing high-impact research papers
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding ($500k+ preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills with complex multi-variable systems
