Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Develop novel quantum hardware architectures for scalable solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum-classical hybrids
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor junior researchers and drive technical strategy
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or similar)
- Expertise in quantum information theory and quantum mechanics
- Strong publication record in quantum computing research
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing
- Demonstrated success in securing research grants
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
