Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes in cryogenic environments
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier scientific journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional teams on quantum principles
- Secure federal and industry funding through compelling grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of industry experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Familiarity with superconducting qubit platforms and quantum annealing systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and information theory
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, AWS Braket)
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with ability to communicate complex concepts clearly
